泰勒是教育和课程评价研究领域的重要奠基者之一。通过对泰勒不同时期著作的学习可以发现,他的课程评价观对德育新课改背景下的《职业道德与法律》课程学生学习质量评价仍有重要启示意义:在评价目的方面,不仅要看目标的达成度,更重要的是促进学生发展;在评价类型方面,不仅关注结果评价更重视过程评价;在评价内容方面,不仅包括外显行为而且包括情感、态度等内隐行为;在评价方法上强调评价方式多样化。
