In realistic social consumption, luxury consumption has become a topic of universal concern with its expensive, scarcity, symbolic and economically substitutable features that are very different from mass consumption. Luxury consumption has its own economic and social causes and forms of expression, which are closely related to the relative factors such as the sources of wealth of consumers and the consumption of social resources. From an economic point of view, luxury consumption is inevitable, can not be blamed, the best way is to reasonably guide the luxury consumption. As a luxury in the category of culture, there is no lack of cultural value and meaning. People try their best to show ethics, local order, rank and need for the spiritual and emotional world through special, exaggerated and even contradictory consumption patterns. In this paper, we use the comparative static analysis and other theoretical tools in Western economics to study the consumption patterns of luxury goods and their impact on the economy.
