Objective: To explore the effect of individualized pain management in orthopedics. Methods: A total of 240 traumatic patients admitted to Mingzhou Hospital of Zhejiang University from April 2013 to April 2014 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 120 patients in each group. Patients in control group were given routine nursing care. Patients in observation group Individualized pain management based on routine care. Pain control satisfaction and patient sleep time were compared between the two groups. Results: The pain control effect of the control group was significantly lower than that of the observation group (P <0.05). The average sleep time in the control group was significantly lower than that in the observation group (P <0.05). Patients in the control group showed significantly lower degree of satisfaction with pain control than those in the observation group (P <0.05). Conclusion: The individualized pain management in orthopedics and the control of perioperative pain in patients can effectively improve the pain control effect, increase the patient’s sleep time, promote patient rehabilitation, improve patient satisfaction and improve the quality of medical services.
