The economic recession and social conflicts in the United States in the 1930s contributed to the creation of literature and art at that time. The struggle in the hinterland of California provided the inspiration and motivation for the literary giant John Steinbeck of that era. The writer is so familiar and truly acquainted with the land, aware of the differences in the size of California’s agriculture, witnessed the struggles that took place in the hinterland of California and chose a rational and different perspective for his creation: immigrants Conflict between workers and growers. Steinbeck recounts in his own way that the agricultural society in California described by him has not been polished to any degree and the variety of its agricultural production has also been expressed in the simplest way.
