20世纪20年代开始,围绕着“新闻教育的第一要义应该是什么”这样的核心问题,民国报界和教育界对于新闻教育中实践性的内涵进行了多元而丰富的思辨,并重点借鉴以美国密苏里大学新闻学院为先导的教育模式,形成“广人文、重实务”的总体特征,摈弃将“实践性”等同于职业技能培训的过度实用主义、功利化的倾向。在这种对于实践性的辩证认识下,民国新闻教育从师资构成、课程设置到学生实习、实践平台的打造,都充分体现了人文学科基础和专业技能训练并重的理念。考察和反思民国新闻教育中的实践性理念及制度建构,在新的时代背景下协调学理性与实践性的关系,仍然是今后新闻学教育中的主流问题。
Since the 1920s, around the core issue of “what is the primary meaning of journalism education?”, The Republic of China press and the educational circles conducted a pluralistic and rich speculation on the practical connotation of journalism education, with a focus on Drawing on the educational model led by the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri, this paper develops the overall characteristics of “liberal humanities and practices” and rejects the overly pragmatic and utilitarian tendency that equates “practicality ” with vocational skills training. Under such practical dialectic, the news education in the Republic of China fully embodies the concept of equal emphasis on the humanities and professional skills training from the composition of teachers, the establishment of courses to the practice of students and the construction of practical platforms. It is still the mainstream issue in the journalism education in the future to study and reflect on the practical ideas and system construction in the Republican journalism education and to coordinate the relationship between rationality and practice in the new era.
