曾巩对校勘者的要求是深厚的语言功底、渊博的学识和严谨的编校态度;校勘原则是“阙疑”、“慎改”;具体校勘方法包括广搜众本、广泛收集他书异文、吸取他人校勘成果、撰写目录序、灵活运用“校勘四法”、注重书籍目次编排、考订作者及书名;校勘成就及影响包括目录序和版本两个方面。
