1952年8月29日,西南军政委员会决定筹组中国人民第二届赴朝慰问团第三分团(西南分团)。代表团于9月11日晨在重庆朝天门码头乘船出发,于10月7日晨到达安东(今丹东),与志愿军三兵团派来迎接的队伍见了面。为防敌机空袭,双方商定8日凌晨3时出发横渡鸭绿江。过江后经两夜行军,于10日晚12时到达朝鲜伊川郡谷山附近的三兵团部驻地。那天,志愿军同志及朝鲜政府驻三兵团代表、人民军驻三兵团政治文化联络部全体同志在驻地五里外冒雨迎接慰问团的到来。三兵团政治部主任刘有光、朝鲜人民军驻兵团政治文化联络部李副部长给慰问团介绍了朝鲜战
On August 29, 1952, the Southwest Military and Political Committee decided to organize the third sub-delegation of the Chinese people’s second visit to the DPRK (southwest sub-delegation). On the morning of September 11, the delegation departed by boat at Chaotianmen Quay in Chongqing and arrived in Andong (now Dandong) on the morning of October 7. It met with the team sent by the Third Corps of the Chinese People’s Volunteers. To prevent enemy air strikes, the two sides agreed to set off at 3:00 on the 8th across the Yalu River. After crossing the river for two nights and marching at 12 pm on the 10th, they reached the headquarters of the Triadry Corps near Valley Hill, Ikawa-gun, North Korea.
