钼坩埚是冶炼稀土金属用的主要器件,由于冶炼介质和气氛的浸蚀,及其高温再结晶严重,使其高温强度降低,对钼坩埚的使用寿命和冶炼稀土金属产品的质量产生不利影响。钼坩埚的连续使用寿命平均为20天。稀土金属中钼杂质的含量应小于0.07%。以钼为基添加稀土氧化铈及其它微量元素制成的F4200J新材料,可使钼坩埚的耐蚀性能得到改善,高温强度得到提高,并延长钼坩埚的使用寿命,提高冶炼稀土金属产品的质量。
