葡萄糖一直被认为是脑内氧化代谢供能的唯一物质,乳酸则是脑细胞无氧糖酵解产生的代谢废物。最近有人提出星形胶质细胞-神经元乳酸穿梭假说,指出乳酸可作为一种重要的能量底物在神经活动时被神经元利用,对传统观点提出了挑战。验证乳酸穿梭假说、研究乳酸在神经元能量代谢中的作用对揭示脑细胞能量代谢模式、探讨多种神经系统疾病发病机制及病理过程等方面都有重要意义。
Glucose has long been considered the only substance in the brain for oxidative metabolism, and lactate is a metabolic waste produced by the anaerobic glycolysis of brain cells. Recently, a hypothesis of astrocyte-neuronal lactate shuttle has been proposed, pointing out that lactic acid can be used as an important energy substrate by neurons during nerve activity, posing a challenge to traditional viewpoints. To verify the lactate shuttle hypothesis, it is important to study the role of lactate in the energy metabolism of neurons to reveal the energy metabolism patterns of brain cells and to explore the pathogenesis and pathological processes of various nervous system diseases.
