Eileen Chang’s translation activities played a crucial role in the turning point of her life. Zhang Ailing was born in Zhangjiagongguan in the Shanghai International Settlement in September 1920 and showed extraordinary endowment for children. At the age of six, she started her novels while reading poetry and learning English. After studying at the Santa Maria woman church in Shanghai, the misfortune of the family led her to devote almost all her emotions to learning and writing. There were also English and Chinese exercises published in newspapers and periodicals such as the magazine “Fungus” and “Guoguang” . The special family background, “old-fashioned” father and mother of “foreignization” and the educational background of Chinese and western cultures all make Zhang Ailing more profound understanding and comprehension of Chinese and Western cultures for her later Literary translation paved the cornerstone. While conducting a comprehensive analysis and in-depth study of Zhang Ailing’s literary career, we should not neglect its translation activities. Despite her improper translation, Eileen Chang is still regarded as an excellent female translator in the history of Chinese translation literature. From the perspective of translation, Zhang Ailing explores the unity of Zhang Ailing in the traditional sense and provides a new perspective for Zhang Ailing’s comprehensive study. It will also be a useful supplement to Zhang Ailing’s comprehensive study. This chronology is the result of numerous events held by many scholars and scholars. In particular, Dr. He Xingfeng, a professor of Chinese Language and Literature at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, rewarded himself with his research paper and author, and the revision of this year’s table was completed.
