目前,常用的切削、磨削液可分为两大类:一类为油基切(磨)削液或称非水溶性切(磨)削液即各种切(廖)削油。另一类为水基切(磨)削液或称水溶性切(磨)削液即各种切(磨)削水溶液,如电解履水溶液,乳化液等。切削、磨削液通常以冷却或润滑性能为主兼有一定的清洗和防锈性能。故又常称为切(磨)削冷却润滑液或切(磨)削润滑冷却液。上面简单的介绍了切(磨)削液的种类,如果在切削、磨削加工过程中选用的切(磨)削液起不到它应起的作用,出现故障时,必须在充分了解故障现象的基础上,分析它产生的原因,并采取相应的措施加以排除。表1~表4为切削、磨削液使用上的故障分析与排除方法。它是根据长期生产实践的经验并参考有关资料总结出来的,仅供参考。
