The concept of “wild sociology” put forward by John O’Neill early in his work has achieved fruitful results through his lifelong hard work and development. This sociology claims that from the turning point of North American sociology in the 1970s, it advocates that sociological research should face daily life, guard against over-scientifization and discipline, and advocate that sociological research and writing should reflect on itself. At the same time, Return to the classic to gain a richer understanding of the present, and this understanding of the “classic” also needs to be “wild.”
