2004年5月20至22日,由李嘉诚基金会赞助、汕头大学长江新闻与传播新闻学院主办的首届纪实报道电视节,吸引了包括美国“60分钟”栏目资深编导哈瑞·莫赛斯、美国公共广播公司(PBS)“前线”栏目执行制片人路易斯·威利、美国公众诚信中心(CPI)总监查尔斯·刘易斯、英国调查报道中心主任加文·麦克法蒂安、中央电视台“新闻调查”栏目制片人张洁、执行制片人胡劲草等新闻记者前来参加。会议期间的系列讲座包括经典纪实新闻片“60分钟”剖析、从“新闻调查”栏目看中国新闻调查的发展、从“前线”看调查性节目在美国的现状与危机、大型历史纪录片《幼童》的台前幕后、英国调查性节目的现状与危机等。会议现场播放了PBS与《纽约时报》耗时6个月联合调查、制作的节目《危险的工厂》,调查讲述了美国一个十分富有的大企业为赚取更多利润而不人道地劳役员工的故事,《纽约时报》因此获得2003年度的普利策奖。美国三大电视网(ABC、CBS、NBC)在1960年代后期开始出现严肃的新闻报道节目,每年会制作几部调查性报道,1970年代后开始走向繁荣。
From May 20 to 22, 2004, the first documentary TV festival sponsored by the Li Ka Shing Foundation and sponsored by the Changjiang Institute of Journalism and Communication in Shantou University attracted Hari Moses, senior director of the United States, “60 Minutes” (PBS) “Frontline ” executive producer Louis Willie, Charles Lewis, director of the U.S. Public Credit Information Center (CPI), Gavin McFadian, director of the Center for Investigative Reporting of Britain, China Central Television “News ” column producer Zhang Jie, Executive Producer Hu Jincao and other journalists come to attend. The New York Times won the 2003 Pulitzer Prize. The three major U.S. networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) started serious press coverage in the late 1960s and produced several investigative reports each year, beginning to boom after the 1970s.
