传热传质学是研究自然现象中一切热、质传递规律及其应用的一门新兴技术基础科学。自然界和各种科学技术领域,无不包含着种类繁多的传热传质过程,如何控制这些过程,矛盾日益尖锐。早在二十世纪第十年代,由于各种热机和热力设备的广泛采用,对传热现象开始了较为系统的研究工作。此后大约经过30年之久,传热传质学便从热物理学这一领域独立出来,成为一门新兴的分支学科。特别是最近二、三十年内,由于热能动力、尤其是核动力和航天技术的迫切要求,以及面临控制热核反应的任务,更是大大地刺激了传热传质学的迅猛发展。
Heat and mass transfer is to study the natural phenomena of all heat and mass transfer laws and applications of a new technology basic science. Nature and various fields of science and technology, all contain a large variety of heat and mass transfer process, how to control these processes, contradictions increasingly sharp. As early as the tenth decade of the twentieth century, due to the widespread use of various heat engines and thermal equipment, a systematic study of heat transfer was started. After about 30 years since then, heat and mass transfer became an emerging branch discipline independent of the field of thermophysics. Especially in the recent two or three decades, due to the urgent requirements of thermal power, especially nuclear power and space technology, and the task of controlling the thermonuclear reaction, it has greatly stimulated the rapid development of heat and mass transfer.
