近十几年来电离辐射在育种工作中已广泛应用,范围很广,包括用于禾本科、豆科、油料作物、棉花、蔬菜、果树、微生物等各方面。根据十五个国家的不完全统计,自一九五○年以来用辐射育种方法选出了六十五个品种,其中三分之二以上是在一九六○年以后选出的。可见,辐射育种在正个育种工作中越来越占有重要的位置。这些新品种中有不少表现出高产、早熟、矮秆、抗倒伏、抗病虫害等特点。
In the last ten years, ionizing radiation has been widely used in breeding work, covering a wide range of fields, including grasses, legumes, oil crops, cotton, vegetables, fruit trees and microorganisms. According to the incomplete statistics of 15 countries, 65 varieties have been selected by radiation breeding since 1950, of which more than two thirds were selected after 1960. It can be seen that radiation breeding occupies an important position in the breeding work. Many of these new breeds are characterized by high yield, precocity, dwarfing, lodging resistance and pest and disease resistance.
