“He is on the grass again.”或“He is on the pot again.” 现将英语中常用的一些俚语归纳如下:grub=food(食物);hush money=bribery(行贿、受贿);nipper=child(小孩);nitwit=stupid or silly person(傻瓜);puss-gentleman
With the development of English, slang is increasingly used by people. A large part of English slang is derived from old words and new meanings. For example, grass and pot already contain the meaning of marijuana. “He is on the grass again.” or “He is on the pot again.” means “He has also used drugs.” Similarly, pig and fuzz can be used to refer to policemen. The pig department means “police station.” ". Some common slang words in English are summarized as follows: grub=food; hush money=bribery (bribery, bribery); nipper=child (kid); nitwit=stupid or silly person (fool); puss-gentleman
