大连—旅顺地区桥头组分布广泛。桥头组可划分为５个岩性段，各段的上下界线清楚，岩性组合特征明显且分布稳定。通过对桥头组沉积构造、岩性组合的分析，判断桥头组的沉积环境总体为潮坪相，古流向分析表明，桥头组沉积时的古陆位于测区北部，古海岸走向近东西。
Dalian - Lushun Qiaotou group widely distributed. The bridgehead group can be divided into five lithologic sections, the upper and lower boundaries of each section are clear, and the characteristics of lithologic assemblages are obvious and the distribution is stable. By analyzing the sedimentary structure and lithology of the bridgehead group, it is concluded that the sedimentary environment of the bridgehead group is generally tidal flat. The paleo-current analysis shows that the ancient land during the deposition of the bridgehead group is located in the north of the survey area and the ancient coast approaches the east and west.
