When it comes to New Zealand Maori, many people first thought of tattoos and snaps. Māori, an Aboriginal New Zealand island, is said to have moved their ancestors from the social archipelago of central Polynesia after the 10th century. Some scholars also inspected the location of Taibai clan doors and windows of the Amis people in Taiwan in China and the investigation on the structure of the building beams and columns. They believed that the Maori moved out of Taiwan more than 4,000 years ago, and their language is the same as that of the Gaoshan people in Taiwan. Both belong to the Austronesian language department. About 300,000 Maori people account for about 10% of the total population of New Zealand. Most of them are peasants and pastoralists and have their own land, forests and sea areas.
