广州地区是中国内地最早接触大陆以外电视媒体的地区,也是国内电视媒体市场竞争最激烈的地区。在2003年以前,香港电视占据着珠江三角洲受众市场的领先位置。中国加入世贸组织后,凤凰卫视、华娱电视、星空卫视、MTV 等频道在广东省有线电视网落地,揭开了中国大陆与香港地区及境外电视频道竞争的大幕。近年来,大陆电视节目又不断的改革和发展,扩大了收视范围,给电视人带来了更多的自信和从容。
Guangzhou is the earliest area in mainland China to contact television media outside the mainland and is also the most competitive area in the domestic television media market. Before 2003, Hong Kong Television occupied the leading position in the Pearl River Delta audience market. After China’s accession to the WTO, channels such as Phoenix Satellite TV, China Entertainment Television, Star TV and MTV landed in Guangdong’s cable television network and opened the curtain on the competition between mainland China and Hong Kong and overseas television channels. In recent years, the continuous reform and development of the mainland television programs has expanded the viewing area and brought more confidence and calm to television.
