Although they also try hard to seek ways to cure traumatic wounds, they still can not get relief inside. The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter describes the spiritual life of a few people living in a small town in the South of the United States, as well as their inner trauma. This article will use the theory of trauma to analyze the typical characters in this novel to explore the causes of formation of trauma, performance and cure.
