本文简单介绍了“RIT—15”的工作原理,性能参数计算及实验结果。推力器是用惰性气体氙(Xe)和氩(Ar)作工质,以代替水银。结果表明:推力器可以正常运行,可拔出离子电流为150—220mA,相应的推力达7—14mN。由于用惰性气体运行方便、无毒,所以这是一种有希望的工质,但随之而来的是推力水平和质量效率的下降。这必须通过推力器结构的改进及进一步提高高频发生器的耦合性能来解决。
This article briefly introduces the working principle of “RIT-15”, performance parameter calculation and experimental results. Thrusters use inert gases xenon (Xe) and argon (Ar) as working fluids instead of mercury. The results show that the thruster can operate normally, the current of 150-220mA can be extracted, and the corresponding thrust reaches 7-14mN. This is a promising working medium due to its ease of operation with inert gas and its non-toxic nature, but with consequent reductions in thrust level and mass efficiency. This must be solved by improving the structure of the thruster and further improving the coupling performance of the high-frequency generator.
