据国外文献报告肾肿瘤占恶性肿瘤病人的0.4～2.5%。由于它绝大多数是癌症,临床症状出现得晚,早期诊断比较困难,据统计约有44～66%的病人是在首发症状之后6个月才得到诊治,甚至有37%的肾癌是在尸解时发现,多半病人在手术时肿瘤已侵犯邻近组织,以致不能进行手术根治和在术后短期内复发预后不良,因此,引起了临床医师和病理学家的重视。近年来对肾癌的诊断和治疗的研究做了很多的工作。现将其进展情况综述如下:
