能量代谢的增龄性失调的研究是阐明衰老机理的途径之一。衰老时能量代谢的某些个别环节上发生的改变能造成老年人最常见疾病(动脉粥样硬化及其并发病、高血压病、糖尿病等)发病率的增高。了解限制代谢和功能能量的供给或可成为适应性反应表现的具体环节。这对于改变老化速度进而延寿,对于个体发育晚期的多种疾病的防治都有意义。
The study of age-related energy metabolism disorders is one of the ways to elucidate the mechanism of aging.
