今年６月２８日，中央召开了思想政治工作会议，江泽民同志作了重要讲话。他指出”党的思想政治工作决不是可有可无、无所作为，而是必不可少、大有可为的。面对新形势新情况，思想政治工作在继承和发扬优良传统的基础上，必须在内容、形式、方法、手段、机制等方面努力进行创新和改进，特别要在增强时代感，加强针对‘胜、实效‘旺、主动‘胜上下功夫。这要成为今后加强和改进思想政治工作的重点。’江泽民同志重申了党的思想政治工作是经济工作和其他一切工作的生命线，他进一步强调在新形势下加强和改进党的思想政治工作，必须全面贯彻落实‘三个代表”的要求，这是党团结和带领人民建设有中国特色社会主义的长期战略方针。为了贯彻中央思想政治工作会议的精神，提高大家对新形势下思想政治工作的认识，本期特编发以下四篇文章，希望能引起大家的关注和思考。
