词汇是构成语言的三要素之一,是形成思维活动的基础材料,人与人相互交流也是在词汇的基础上进行的。没有词汇的语言是不存在的。由此可见,词汇的重要性。新课程标准指出:初中生要能学会并使用1500到1600个单词以及200~300个习惯用语和固定搭配。但是,在教学的过程中我们发现,有相当一部分的学生的词汇量并没有达到新课程标准的要求。词汇量达不到要求,学生在听、说、读、写方面都感到困难,教学效果不理想。因此,
