Based on the survey data of 229 pig farmers in Wuxi, Nanjing and Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, this paper empirically tests the impact of organization on the carbon emissions of pig farmers in large scale The impact on the size of pig farmers’ carbon emissions. The study found no significant effect of participating cooperatives on carbon emissions of large-scale pig farmers; however, for different scales, the cooperation model of “leading enterprises + pig farmers” has significantly reduced the large-scale pig breeding In addition, the age of household heads, manure disposal methods and land carrying capacity are only negatively related to the carbon emissions of small-scale pig farmers.
