本单元旨在开始落实教材总体结构第三个阶段的训练任务——培养综合运用生活材料和书面材料的能力,培养在日常生活中运用语文的能力。本单元教学重点,一是了解消息和通讯的特点,特别是体会消息的时效性,并迁移到听说读写中;二是开始接触语言实用的问题,重点了解语言运用要简明扼要,适合语境;三是让学生开始进行一些语文实践活动,即以采访为目的进行社会交际。
