一、根据大家所汇报的情况,各单位都进行着竞赛的准备工作。有的作的好,如炼钢厂、铁路、中纺,准备工作具体深入,生产计划上、组织上、思想上等各方面作的很好;但有一部分工厂,只有号召动员,缺乏具体准备。距离“五一”时间不到十天了,党、政、工、团在这一短短时间内,应集中最大力量,搞好准备工作,以便于“五一”开始使竞赛运动全面展开。但如“五一”前准备工作确实作不完,可以延期,但大体应差不多,最好不属于五月十日完成。问题是在于克服一般号召,从领导到群众,积极进行具体准备,这一点很重要。二、生产竞赛运动方向和目的是明确的,但有的厂还未弄清。上次我谈到的四点(见本刊第七页,“动员起来!开展红五月生产竞赛运动”第二部分)就是为了今后打下科学管理基础。提高劳动强度,应该是生产竞赛运动的一个重点,有的厂机器效能发挥的还很差,如工业局铁
