Maybe most of our daily life is like a gear which is running along the same track day after day—there isn’t anything special, nor exciting, nor surprising. But have you got someday that makes you become the sparkling star in the sky?
I have got a memory that will never fade in my life since I stood on the stage two years ago. Though I used to host various kinds of parties when I was in primary grades, I have never had other chances to be a little hostess since middle school with the pressure of study. It was the chance in Grade One in senior school that brightened my stage again.
When I heard the news that our school is in search of some hosts for the coming New Year’s entertainment. It occurred to me that I could host on the stage with all the audience listening to my voice.
Certainly, many of my schoolmates had the same dream as me. It was up to our music teacher to decide who would be the lucky dog on the bright night. And one day, we stood in a row in a large room equipped with broadcasting equipment. We were told to read some texts with a microphone. I have forgotten what I was reading at that time, but to me what was the most important was that the next day I passed the test. How excited I was when I heard that! I felt as if I were in the heaven.
And the next few weeks, two partners and I were preparing for the entertainment carefully.
The day we had been looking forward to came at length. Behind the stage we three encouraged each other by clapping together for ourselves.
The moment the curtain was drawn, I smiled from my heart like a happy rabbit. I knew it was the feeling that I wanted. I did my best to let the atmosphere lively. The party lasted about three hours and during the time, I appreciated the actors who were revealing themselves on the stage.
I remembered there was a band named Dark Star which performed the most popular song—Beyond Zhen De Ai Ni, which I love very much. Before this program, I stood on the stage, holding up my microphone, and saying in a moving voice, “There is a person who will scarify all without any complaints. She loves her children with all her soul. And now on the New Year’s Eve, let’s say to all our mothers loudly that I love you and appreciate you for all your sacrifice. Listen to the song and clap our hands for the great love.” What I just said moved myself together with the audience. We sang the song together to pray for our beautiful and hardworking mothers.
It is a precious experience that really makes me have more confidence in myself. After that, not only did I make many new friends because of the party, but also I have become braver than before.
And I want to say: grasp any chance to reveal yourselves and make your life colorful enough. All the wonderful experiences will let you find the sky so blue and the world so beautiful. What’s more, you will become better and better.
