In order to investigate the characteristics of REE distribution and their influencing factors in the eastern Bohai Sea and the northern Yellow Sea, 138 surface sediment samples from the eastern Bohai Sea and the northern Yellow Sea were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The results showed that the partition patterns of sediments in the eastern Bohai Sea and northern Yellow Sea Similar to the loess in China, it has similarities with the surrounding rivers, such as the Yalu River and the Yellow River, indicating that the sediments in the study area are mainly from the surrounding continents. The sediment source discrimination results show that the sediments in the coastal areas and the southwestern Shandong Peninsula are mainly The distribution of sediments in this area is affected by the coastal currents and the coastal currents in the Shandong Peninsula. The composition of REE in the sediments of the eastern part of the study area is similar to that of the Yalu River sediments, indicating that the sediments in the eastern part of the study area may be supplied by the Yalu River. The sediments mainly come from the Yellow River and the coastal areas of Liaoning Province, and some Luanhe and Liuguhe rivers exist in the sediments. The materials in the southeastern part of the study area originate mainly from the Yellow River. The content of rare earth elements and the eigenvalues of Q- Cluster analysis, the study of marine sediment is divided into four different regions, respectively EASTERN northern region (Ⅰ), Shandong Peninsula coastal peripheral region (Ⅱ), Eastern Bohai middle region (Ⅲ) and the northwest and southeast of the study area distribution (IV).
