Wang Xing Kong was published in the November issue of People’s Literature in 1959, celebrating the tenth anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Poetry wrote a night in the first person way. When the poet stood on the streets of Beijing and looked up at the stars, he felt the solemnity and greatness of the sky and the resulting small sense of humanity. But soon the poet realized his own mistakes in thinking and criticized the idea he had just produced, stating that the stars were dull compared with people, and the power of man was magnificent. Through the analysis of the whole poem, this article discusses the alternative of Guo Xiaochuan ’s poetry.
