席草是灯心草种的一个变种,现有席草品种均属地方品种。栽培上一般借席草地上茎外部形态及生长发育特性如草茎长短,粗细,弹性,韧性,光洁度,抗倒伏程度等来辨别、归类。作者通过对江浙地区四个席草栽培品种外部形态及内部结构的观察和生态解剖学的研究发现:①表皮细胞的形态,角质层厚薄;②茎表面纵行条纹,气孔分布;③表皮下大型纤维束的形状及其与外围维管束的结合程度;④茎内大型维管束突入髓部的深浅;⑤基本组织内腔隙道的多少及内径大小等特征在四个品种中有相对较明显的差异,有品种鉴定上的意义。作者认为①~
