错误分析作为应用语言学的一个重要分支,无疑在第二语言的教与学中起到重要的作用。它不仅能帮助我们了解学习者对第二语言掌握的程度以及学习的策略,而且还可以帮助教师了解学习中大家共有的特点,对促进教师的教学及学生的学习具有重要意义。尽管对于英语为第二语言学习者的写作错误已有众多研究,但对写作错误的量化研究却很有限,在国内更为少见。为此,本文从采集数据入手,经过错误查找、分类和编译,采用EXCEL和SPSS语言统计软件对中国非英语专业大学生写作中常见错误进行数理统计。结果表明:第一,错误频率最高的是词汇错误(指选词错误和搭配错误);第二,五种错误中,衔接手段与中国式英语最为相关;第三,得分高的学生与得分低的学生的主要差别在于他们作文中出现的中国式英语的频率。最后,本文对产生这些错误的原因作了分析和讨论,并提出了相应的改进措施。
As an important branch of applied linguistics, error analysis undoubtedly plays an important role in the teaching and learning of second language. It can not only help us understand the learners’ mastery of the second language and the strategies of learning, but also help teachers to understand the common characteristics of the students in learning. It is of great significance to promote teachers’ teaching and students’ learning. Although there have been many studies on the mistakes of English as a second language learner, quantitative research on writing mistakes is very limited and rare in China. To this end, this article starts with data collection, through error search, classification and compilation, uses Excel and SPSS language statistical software to make mathematical statistics on common mistakes in writing of non-English majors in China. The results show that: first, the most frequent mistakes are lexical mistakes (word choice errors and collocation mistakes); second, among the five mistakes, cohesion means are most relevant to Chinese English; third, students with high scores and low scores The main difference between students is the frequency of Chinese-style English appearing in their composition. Finally, the paper analyzes and discusses the causes of these errors, and puts forward corresponding improvement measures.
