“口语交际”属于情境语言范畴,有着较强的随机性、灵活性和可变性。它强调的是面对面的交流,听者和说者的角色随着交流的需要不断转换,是一个双向互动的过程,也是包括听觉、视觉、感情、思维、评价、创造等活动的动态实践过程。口语交际的特点,决定了其学习难度较大,指导起来可操作性较弱。但是,当口语交际和童话,这种低年级儿童最为喜闻乐见的文学形式相结合的时候,由于童话梦幻迷离的情境,爱憎分明的角色,曲折离奇的情节,夸张怪诞的手法,无一不牵动着孩子,吸引着学生,使得口语交际成了孩子们喜欢的课程。在兴趣的推动下,孩子们口语交际的能力迅速得到提升。
