When human flesh-eating habits started, humans did not eat meat from the beginning. Ancient humans were vegetarian animals. When did humans begin to eat meat? The experts studied the human ancestors’ teeth and concluded that humans began eating meat about 2.5 million years ago. In 1999, researchers found bite marks on the remains of 2.5 million years ago. These bite marks are likely to be left by ancient humans. A recent study by American scientist Peter Unng shows that ancient humans had much sharper teeth than their ancestors, the Southern Gills. A tooth that can eat meat needs to have a “cutting” function, not just “grinding.” Whether or not the teeth have a “cut” function lies in the inclination of the teeth.
