The construction of an interpreter model is based on the theoretical assumptions made by researchers based on the theoretical perspectives of different disciplines. From the analysis of the basic assumptions of Danica Seleskovitch’s interpretation model, we can see that the translator’s subjectivity has not been fully reflected. Cognitive psychology provides a new perspective for the subjectivity research of translators. The author analyzes the subjectivity of translators from three aspects: the language cognition of translators, the information processing strategies in interpreting, and the cognitive context of interpreting. The translator’s subjectivity in the process of interpretation is an objective reality, which runs through the process of interpretation.
