企业文化概念最早出现于美国,是美国的一些管理学家总结日本管理经验之后提出来的。上世纪80年代初,日本经济持续多年的高速增长引起了全世界的瞩目,而支撑经济增长的关键是企业的竞争力。因此,在日本经济高速增长时期,日本企业的国际竞争力迅速提高,到80年代初,日本企业大量进入美国市场,抢走了美国企业在本土的市场份额。为了迎接日本企业的挑战,美国企业界开始研究日本企业的管理方式。企业文化理论就是这种研究的一项重大成果。
The concept of corporate culture first appeared in the United States and was proposed by some management scientists in the United States after summing up the Japanese management experience. The rapid growth of Japan’s economy for many years in the early 1980s aroused the world’s attention. The key to supporting economic growth is the competitiveness of enterprises. Therefore, during the period of rapid economic growth in Japan, the international competitiveness of Japanese enterprises increased rapidly. By the early 1980s, Japanese enterprises entered the U.S. market in large numbers and took away the domestic market share of U.S. companies. In order to meet the challenges of Japanese companies, the American business community began to study the management of Japanese enterprises. Corporate culture theory is a major achievement of this research.
