A real-time optical correlator with high discrimination ability is proposed, which uses liquid crystal light valve (LCLV) as a real-time input device and uses its non-linear transformation characteristic to pre-process the image differential. The holographic recording material adopts photorefractive crystal, Convergence spherical wave for reference light. The experimental results show that the optical correlator with high discrimination ability, real-time and flexibility, and compact structure
