英语是一门语言,长期以来,英语教师在课堂上一直把教会学生一些语言知识作为主要目的。他们认为,中学是打基础阶段,能做到语音语法基本正确,学会一部分词汇应付考试就可以了。这种教学思想使得课内很多时候出现气氛沉闷,学生厌学的现象;而课外.老师布置的背单词、背课文便成为了死任务。学生的学习成绩亦容易“两边倒”:勤奋的学生多数能拿到好成绩,可是知识面较窄,只局限于书本上有的;而懒惰的学生更糟糕,不仅知识浅陋,考试成绩也只有二三十分。这一结果.充分体现了应试教育的二一大弊端。因此,创新教学方法、加强素质教育的呼声越来越紧。改革的出路在于扩大学生的知识面。提高学生的学习主动性。我认为,在课堂教学中渗透文化因素,把教授语言和传播文化相互结合,既符合交际教学的思想,亦有利于丰富学生知识和美化情感,从而培养良好的思想意
English is a language. For a long time, English teachers have been teaching the students some linguistic knowledge for the primary purpose in the classroom.
