在初中动植物教学上,过去存在着严重的脱离实际做法,除了不得不做的几个示教实验和利用学校仅有的几种标本给学生观察以外,就没有自己准备各种实物教学,更没有培养学生亲手去采集、栽培和标本制作,学生学了一年动物,结果连自己的胸部腹部的各种器官位置还弄不清楚,对于大自然界生物存在怀疑和唯心论的看法. 教师通过思想改造,发现到自己教学的空虚、腐朽,改变了教学态度,着眼于理论与实际一致的原则,开展了学生对动植物采集、栽培和标本制作工作,两学期来是有些成绩的,学生自采自制的植物蜡叶标本共80余种210余件.剥制动物标本23件,且在剖制方法与装置姿态方面都有很大提高.本期共培育植物36种,350余株,成活率达到80%. 工作的开展,主要掌握了以下几个环节:
