I. Preface In the PD_1 rail fracture toughness test, about 50% of the samples were found pop-in phenomenon, at the same time in the sample size of several tests (29 × 58 × 250,26 × 36 × 180,25 × 30 × 150, 20 × 24 × 110, 14 × 28 × 125 mm), the K_ (IC) value (corresponding to pop_la) of the pop-in sample is about the same as the normal K_ (IC) Low 10MN / m ~ (2 ~ 3). In order to evaluate the fracture toughness of rail steel, the cause of pop-in phenomenon was preliminarily discussed. Second, the test profile The test steel are taken from the normal production process conditions, that is, slow cooling after rolling 11 times the finished rail head
