弗雷格的图像意识主要体现在三个方面。一是认为人的感觉印象与记忆图像构成了表象的基础,在众多表象的基础上产生了符号,符号是表象的表象,概念文字是表象的极度抽象化产物。二是图像同样产生于感觉印象与记忆图像,是表象的物质化,它继承了感觉印象与记忆图像的特点,总是力图重新建立起鲜活的表象世界,是逆概念文字的一种行为。三是艺术品是表象的产物,不同的人有不同的表象产物。图像里可能包含着某种逻辑上的真,但决不意味着图像之真就一定是逻辑之真,用来表达画像的真必然要从美学或艺术学的角度加以考量,在对艺术之真的考量中实现对意义的把握。弗雷格的图像意识对维特根斯坦的语言哲学图像论的产生具有深刻的影响,同时也为当下人们理解图像提供了重要的启示。
