一、河北省报业发展总体状况河北报业的发展道路是不平坦的,建国以后到改革开放前,河北省仅有20余家报纸,基本是省、地、市党报一统天下。直至党的十一届三中全会召开后,全党工作以经济建设为中心,坚持改革开放,报业的发展才有了长足的进步。截止到2002年底,全省共有国内统一刊号的报纸118家(2003年报刊治理整顿后为99家)。其中省市级党报12家,县级党报18家(报刊治理整顿后,保留1家),都市报、晚报10家,生活服务类报纸22家,行业、专业、企业报纸21家(报刊治理整顿后为20家),大学校报33家。而且结构较为合理,种类比较齐全,涵盖了党报、晚报、都市报、商报、行业报、专业报、企业报、校报、县报等报种,不仅扩大了党的舆论宣传阵地,也满足了读者多层次的信息需求。2002年全省平均期发报纸总份数为543.1万份(以省新闻出版局统计期印数为标准,以下同);全省平均每千人拥有报纸80.65份,高于全国平均每千人63份。
