Groove Coverage is a German rising band.It came on the stage in 2002,and promptly became well-known in whole Europe by its dance music style of mixing kinds of elements though not for a long time. Groove Coverage consists of two lead members: lead singer Verena (in 2004 Mell took instead of her) and DJ Novus.In 2003,Groove Coverage shortlisted lots of awards as new comers at annual Deutchscher Dance Award in Germany－ Best Dance Act National, Best Dance Hit,Best Newcomer!Finally Groove Coverage got the admiration of evaluation group and won the Best Dance Act National.
It is accurate to say that Groove Coverage has captured much easily the hearts of fans of young generations only depending on two albums— Cover Girl (2002) and 7 Years and 50 Days (2004). Among the first releasing album Cover Girlin the end of 2002, it consisted of a lot of dance music, which won the awards in last year except works after awarding, the single God is a Girlwon the first in European dance music lists in 2003 and became the most forceful Dark Horseof that year, Far Away From Home full of dynamic feeling, was praised as spreading works of dance music by a lot of famous DJs. After the seven singles in Top20 , Groove Coverage has became one of representing dance acts national in Europe, even had trip shows in U.K. and the U.S.A.
Concretely, the music of Groove Coverage belongs to "Trance Music", also is called "Bedroom music ", it is one kind electron dance music style appeared in 90s of last century,which is good at its rhythm.Its speed kept 130 beats to 160 music rhythm per minute, composed of music sentences which from repeating electron melody synthesizer, and adjust the strong or weak of sound by music track.
DJ Novus, the key figure of Groove Coverage, was born on July 11, 1976 in Bavaria,Germany. In 1995, stirred by the series of disc party, he began to be a DJ, and then became more famous. In the spring of 2001, DJ Novus and Alex Konarad organized the band Groove Coverage, at the same year Mell joined the band. In 2002, they released the first single, Moonlight Shadow. Though it is only a rendition of Mike Oldfields, they bestowed the spirit of electron music on a works with classical and rock style. The single won the Top3 in the billboard of singles, continued to stay in Germany billboard for 14 weeks, and made a great success in the oversea market. The succeeded sell of the record not only brought sale volume of 250,000 for Groove Coverage, won the nomination of Music Award of Echo,but also brought them one and another honors.
Lately because Mellwas pregnant, the band found Verena, a girl at age of 18.The joining of Verena strengthened the band Groove Coverage and determined the route of singing English songs. Then Lou Bega joined the band and created the song, God Is A Girl, this song made Verena and DJ Novus won a great success.With the releasing of it, Groove Coverage was quite well known and enjoyed good reputation in European mainland. Though in the end they were exposed to have the suspicion of cheating, it did not affect the advancing step of them. They succeeded to release their first music album Cover Girl in 2002.
In 2003, the releasing ofThe Endmade the band promote to a new step.Actually the name of the song was not planned to call The End, but because Verena decided to go more into the background (it was her own wish and she's still an important part of the team). So Mell came to the front again after her birth holidays, during that time, the band also released lots of singles in succession, among which the single Poison stayed top1 in billboard of many and many countries.Then the band released the album 7 Years and 50 Days again and made a great success too. In February, 2005, the band took advantage of this occasion to release the sophisticated album Best Of of 2Disc DVD, which consists of almost all their salable songs. In 2006, the releasing of the album 21st Centuryfurther made fans of more and more countries known the band.

Q:When did you decide to become a DJ? When and where did it really start? And how long have you been a DJ?
DJ Novus:In 1995 I decided to become a DJ. It starts in 1996 at a little club in Bavaria.Now it has been 8 years since I was a DJ.
Q:Tell me about most exciting moments in yourDJ career?
DJ Novus:In the year 2003 I played for over 45000 people in Austria. That was very great！

问：请问你是什么时候决定做DJ的? 什么时候在哪里真正开始的？有多长时间了？
DJ Novus：1995年我决定做一名DJ，1996年在巴伐利亚的一个小俱乐部开始的，至今有8年了。
