Inquiry teaching is a kind of teaching method centering on student inquiry learning. Inquiry teaching makes two major changes in teaching, one is to change “teacher center” to “student center”; the second is to change “memory conclusion ” to “inquiry process ”. Inquiry teaching is of great significance to cultivate students’ interest in learning, scientific thinking ability and innovative awareness. And suppose to explore teaching, is to use the hypothesis as a clue throughout the inquiry teaching. This paper takes the PEP textbook “Earthquake Disaster” in “Elective 5” as an example to illustrate the general operation flow of hypothetical inquiry teaching.
