In the past decade or so, the double-slide operation of rolling stock has gained wide application in the Soviet railway. The scholars unanimously affirmed and recognized its superiority. The new “Rules and Regulations” promulgated by the Soviet Union Railway in 1977 and the new “Station Regulation” implemented in 1979 have all been incorporated into the clause of the double-delineation of vehicles and laid down the conditions for its adoption. Now the car double-slip on the Soviet Union railway research and application are summarized below. Overview Humphu Marshalling Marshalling Station is the most important shunting equipment. In 1966, the Sverdlovsk marshalling yard, due to the considerable increase in the number of adaptations, raised the urgent need of drastically increasing the capacity of the hump. So, for the first time, decided to double-pilot the car in a hump in its two-way marshalling system
