塔河地区奥陶系油气储量丰富,油气多期充注,主要有三个成藏期:加里东中晚期-海西早期、海西晚期、印支-喜马拉雅期。奥陶系碳酸盐岩储层发育,主要发育有大型溶洞、裂缝_孔洞和裂缝三种类型的储层,非均质性很强。该区受海西早期运动的影响很大,岩溶非常发育;由于多期次的构造作用影响,断裂构造包括逆冲和走滑构造作用普遍存在,不仅为油气的运移提供了通道,还形成了多种类型的圈闭,影响了油气的分布。虽然断裂对油气藏造成了一定程度的破坏,但总体上为该区油气藏的形成创造了利大于弊的良好条件。
