陕西民间秸秆编织艺术虽然历史悠久,但作品设计内容及形式相对单一,产业支撑和宣传推广不足,缺乏产业化生产、系列化、品牌化的组织方式和经营模式,产学研之间的结合需要进一步加强,尤其对于非遗保护方面来说,工艺传承遇到诸多困难,学习该项手艺的年轻人颇少,陕西秸秆编织处于濒危状态。当下,陕西民间秸秆编织艺术偏重装饰层面,过度依赖旅游业,产品的消费人群比较局限,多为国内外旅游人士和艺术收藏者。产品亟待深入挖掘其时代和区域特色,科学有效的提高工艺,在内容及形式上进行创新,在应用上加以拓展和推广,在销售上进行宣传和监管,在教育上加以重视和设置培训机构以此才能使珍贵的民间编织工艺得以传承、创新和可持续发展。
