In view of the problems of salt, alkali, drought, thinness and disease affecting the cotton emergence and seedling growth in northern cotton area of our country, resulting in the problem of low yield of cotton, Soil and Fertilizer Institute of Hebei Academy of Agricultural Sciences collaborated to develop cotton salt- Research and application, after a lapse of 5 years of repeated testing, screening out the best formula, has been in the province and outside the cotton area to promote the use of more than 600000 acres, achieved good economic and social benefits. The research was co-chaired by Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences and Hebei Provincial Department of Chemical Industry on December 27, 1992, and passed the technical appraisal. Experts believe that the project systematically studied the chlorination
