隐喻广泛存在于我们的语言和思维中,概念隐喻理论认为隐喻是思维方式和认知手段,因此隐喻在二语习得和语言理解中具有非常重要的作用。本文拟运用概念隐喻理论,探讨隐喻在英语词汇、阅读教学中的功能,为英语教学提供新的视角。
Metaphor is widespread in our language and thinking. Conceptual metaphor theory holds that metaphor is a way of thinking and cognitive means. Therefore, metaphor plays a very important role in second language acquisition and language comprehension. This thesis intends to use the theory of conceptual metaphor to explore the function of metaphor in English vocabulary and reading teaching and to provide a new perspective for English teaching.
